“We worked on this project with Baskerville, DC design and Host Hotels and it was on an extremely tight timeline. The original inspiration that they shared with us, watercolor cloud formations that were finished with a linear element, give a sense of layers and depth. We used a base design pulled from our extensive design library and then spent time rescaling it for the space and developed with them the moody emerald green/ grey color palette. Due to budget constraints we could not develop this as a Handtufted so we worked it up in Axminster but still were able to keep the feeling luxe. We achieved this with the very subtle texture blending and the jewel green palette.”
